Christmas 2025 was a joyful and impactful moment at the Elevatus Youth Center. This year marked a significant milestone for our Christmas activity, reflecting both the growth of our programs and the strength of our partnerships within the community.

A Growing Celebration

In 2024, our Christmas celebration welcomed 60 children. In 2025, that number grew to 110 children. This increase is largely due to the expansion of our nutrition program, which allowed us to include many more children, especially from primary schools. Seeing so many new faces was a powerful reminder of the growing impact of the Youth Center.

A Day of Service and Improvement

Alongside the Christmas celebration, 42 missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints joined us for a service activity. Missionaries are young adults who volunteer their time for community service and humanitarian work as part of a local mission, which is a regional program organized by the Church. During this day of service, they helped transform the Youth Center and school grounds by planting grass and creating gravel pathways bordered with staggered brick edging. Previously, children walked on bare soil and brought mud into the classrooms. These new pathways will help keep the school cleaner and more welcoming.

Sharing Skills, Meals, and Joy

The missionaries also helped repaint one of our large classrooms, giving it a fresh and brighter environment for learning. They took part in preparing the Christmas meal by helping with vegetable preparation and other tasks. Throughout the day, they shared games, dancing, and activities with the children, making the celebration lively and memorable for everyone involved.

Support Through Light the World

Although he was not physically present, Mission President Eastman also played an important role. A mission president oversees the missionaries serving in a specific region and helps coordinate humanitarian and service efforts. Through the Church’s global Light the World giving initiative, President Eastman submitted a funding request on behalf of the Youth Center, which made it possible for us to receive four new tables, two laptops for our Computer Literacy program, and two new sewing machines. In addition, many of the missionaries’ parents chose to personally support Elevatus Foundation by making donations for this occasion. These contributions will directly support our ongoing programs and the children we serve.

Thank You for Making It Possible

Christmas 2025 was more than a celebration. It was a moment of growth, service, and shared purpose. We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed their time, energy, and resources to make this day possible. Together, we continue to build a cleaner, stronger, and more hopeful future for the children we serve.
