Amid Civil Unrest, Hope and Learning Continue

As the new school year begins in Madagascar, many parts of the country have faced uncertainty due to recent protests and demonstrations in the capital and other major towns. However, we are grateful to report that the children under the care of Elevatus Foundation have been safe and their daily schedules were not disrupted. Most of them live in the countryside, far from the affected areas, where life has remained calm and steady.

A Peaceful Start to the School Year

While much of the national attention has been focused on the demonstrations in the city, in the rural communities where our students live, schools have reopened as planned. Our local team has been actively visiting schools and checking on the children’s attendance and progress. We are thankful that their education continues without interruption—a small but meaningful victory in uncertain times.

Distributing School Supplies

At the beginning of this school year, each sponsored child received a full set of school supplies—copybooks, pens, pencils, rulers, and other essential materials. These small items are crucial for success in the classroom, and for many families, they make the difference between a child being ready to learn or having to stay home. Thanks to your continued support, every student started the year equipped and motivated.
